MUTED GREY PALETTE AND SHARP SLEEK ELEMENTS
FOAM II presents a sophisticated and modern take on cafe design, centred around a muted grey palette and sharp, sleek elements. While the space predominantly features stony finishes and stainless steel, a slight touch of wood behind the bar and in a few pieces of furniture adds a subtle warmth, making the environment more inviting and comfortable.

Supernova is a lifestyle center that houses a spin studio and a multipurpose exercising space. The architecture alludes to a space station that landed on another planet, in this case, the Research Technology and Innovation Park in Sharjah.

This pseudo-station interlocks cylindrical and cubic masses to form the bright and dark spaces of the different interior programs; the spin studio being dark and ominous, and the multipurpose space, bright and star lit.

The bar is composed of staggered masses and takes a curved form, which is inspired by the cafe’s branding, as well as a curved bulkhead with varying materiality. This adds layers of textural contrast, depth and interest. Strong alignments in lighting, furniture, grooves, and details emphasise the modernity and simplicity of the design.
